This tour takes you deep into the Arthurian legends of Brittanny, a romantic area of great beauty and tradition. Our highlight is a lighthearted visit to the Fetes Des Remparts at Dinan, otherwise our time will be spent touring historic, hidden Brittany; its medieval townscapes, atmospheric chateaux and stunning scenery. We explore the medieval history of Brittany through museums, talks and guided walks

This year we focus on Dinan and the Fete Des Rempartes, a celebration of the city's medieval roots; a city of charm and character. We visit Morlaix, Concarneau, and the 18thC Musee de la Marine at Port Louis . Roger's Tours concentrate on history and culture of countries we visit and feature sites from the Hundred Years War and,so intertwined with it, the War of Succession between Brittany and France. We include la Hunaudie, La Roche Derrien, the magnificent Ville Clos at Concarneau, and the lofty towers of Josselin rising from the river.

The tour will be based in comfortable French hotels of two stars and above on half board or equivalent, and the group will have opportunities to eat together at lunchtime as you wish. With this size of party my margin is minimal, and so the cut off date for cancellation and full refund, if we cannot fill enough seats, will be eight weeks before departure, in this case May 18th ; we can run with five persons booking which would be even more personalised and pleasant.
