Thursday December 4th. We board our ferry and sail, getting up at a ridiculous hour to breakfast on shore. With a visit en route, we should arrive at Paris by about 1700 hrs French time (16:00 p.m. English), and go straight to our hotel for the weekend. This is planned to be the Hotel de Nice, in central Paris, near the museums. We need to confirm our reservations so please reply as soon as you can.
Saturday: After breakfast we visit a special exhibition at the Galleria. After Lunch out, which may be as a group or free time, we will have free shopping and browsing time till dinner. I will guide people to Les Invalides, and the stunning "Samaritaine" store is a strong possibility.
Sunday: After breakfast at 08.30 am we pack the vehicle, then depart to visit the Sonia Rykel Exhibition Musee de la Mode et du Textile. From Paris, we drive to Caen for 16:00 with a light lunch en route; we should make Portsmouth by 22:15 and back to Poole around 23:30 PM
If I have six vehicle passengers I will arrange hotel accommodation and museum entries for other participants who wish to come by Eurostar but I have to ask them to arrange their own transport to the Hotel- the experiment worked last time and there was a special price for these guests.Eurostar passengers should book to arrive about 1700hrs on Friday 5th. There is one change on the Metro to make; or several of you could share a taxi. After Sunday mornings talk we will have your luggage in the vehicle and you are even closer to the Eurostar terminal at The Louvre - you will be back in London before we land in Portsmouth
